Hey guys, I recently lucked into a Hindle left exit exhaust system. It's the full exhaust with headers. I was wondering if anybody has installed one of these before and could give some advise on how to install it? I have searched and can't find any full exhaust install guides. I haven't fully checked it out yet but I suspect I might have to pull off the swingarm.

    Thanks for any responses.

What year bike? Do you have a centerstand? If so the centerstand will definitely have to come off.

It's a 1990. I don't have a center stand. I think by the looks of it, a whole lot will have to come off. Unfortunately I don't have a front or rear stand at the moment so I'm not sure if it can be done.

If you have a garage you can always rig up a set of eye hooks into a couple of the beams and use high quality tie down(s) and raise the rear up. Although you might want to pick up a wheel chock to support the front wheel. Another option is pick up some bike stands. There are plenty of those available on the Internet, eBay is full of them, just be cautious of what you're buying. Sorry I can't help you on the installation part, never had the opportunity to install left side exhaust. Good Luck and keep us posted.

    Cheers

I swapped my exhaust and didn't need any front and rear stands. You'll probably need to take off the subframe to get to the rear exhaust ports. It's a one day affair but a few handy tools are socket extensions and a universal joint. I had to remove the smog(charcoal?) canister on my bike and bend the mounting tab for that a little bit in order to avoid contact with the headers.
