Any Viffers in the San Antonio, TX area

Just recently moved into the San Antonio area and wanted to see if we had anyone from the San Antonio, Austin, and Hill Country area around that would like to meet up and go for a ride.


This weekend sounds like it should be decent weather, anyone up for a ride?

 

I'm in the SAT area, and the wife and I both ride the hill country. How long have you been here? We're on the east side in Schertz so it takes awhile to get over to the Three Sisters for twisties but we were thinking of doing some riding if other things don't come up.

 

I have actually been here on and off over the past four years, but I'm here permanently now. I actually live on the southside of San Antonio, but I have relatives that live out in the garden ridge area by the caverns. If you and your wife are planning a ride this weekend I would love to join. Saturday or Sunday would work for me. PM me and let me know when and where to meet. I'm not really familiar with the Three Sisters area, but would love to ride through some twisties. Just let me know when and where to meet and I'll be there.

My favorite part of the ride is actually from Vanderpool to Leakey on 337... but doing all three is a lot of fun. I always filled up in Boerne and Leakey when I had my shadow (only 100 miles on a tank) and running the sisters from Leakey is about 100 miles total.


Up near Austin: Lime Creek Road, a great motorcycle road in Texas

 

I will definitely have to head out that way and check out the three sisters. I'm really looking to head out on a ride tomorrow sometime during the day and would love to meet up with anyone that would like to go for a ride for an hour of so. If you are interested let me know.

 

I've got my electrical all torn up tonite but will let you know if I get her buttoned up for a run!

 

Let me know when you get her all put back together so we can meet up and head out on ride. You think you will get it put together before the end of the weekend? If i cant get out tomorrow I definitely want to get a good ride in before the end of the weekend.

 

ok she's back together. Thinkin my wife and I will take off towards the three sisters tomorrow morning... maybe meet off of 10 and 46 in Boerne ? then ride out to Leakey, gas up and head back... eat lunch at the Apple store in Medina (opens at 11) Patio Cafe « Love Creek Orchards ...

sweet! I just blew out my charging circuit with crappy wiring, a crappy ground, or a dirty voltage throwing stator... we're a hangar queen until at least this weekend when I can tear her apart and rewire her (and test all connections again.) We ran out to Leakey and back to Schertz last weekend, all on a crappy charging system. kinda pisses me off that I missed something, but lessons learned now. :/
