Not been able to get any replies off the various CB1100 forums on this so, I figure id post here too and see what happens

im putting a CB1100F back together, but I never took it apart so absolutely nothing was labled.

im almost there but this cluster of 4 wires has no corresponding male connectors.

the group of wired comes off the front wiring loom right next to the headlight conenctor.

these are not turn signals, not horn, not headlight. 2 of them have inline fuses, I found a colour Cb1100 wiring diagram don't see these anywhere, and it shows no inline fuses anywhere .

    any help/ideas is appreciated IMG_8513.JPG

Did someone have a large fairing previously on it? Could have been for aux equipment? 2 grounds and 2 power it looks to me.

My CBX FSM states orange and brown are turn signal. Green is ground and black is also ground. Rogue may be correct on wiring for facctory honda fairing which was offered for the 81 - 82 CB900F. It may be a CB900f loom. I don't remeber those wires on my 83 CB1100f or 82 CB1100r ...

Plug a turn signal on the orange / green , should be right side blinker / running light.

Brown and green are switched 12V (brown power - green ground). Very common on early/mid 80s Honda where the Euro versions had a small running light.

The red and black with inline fuses seem out of place. But if they are indeed stock I would associate them with an optional Hondaline Accessory, perhaps a voltmeter or something.

Orange on the right and skyblue on the left I believe for most hondas.

I sold clock, altimeter and air temp gages a while back.

    Kept the Voltmeter

    cheers chaps.

definitely not the turn signals I have those figured out - orange one side , light blue on the other

However -----as you brilliant lads have pointed out, this bike did have a CBX or a CB900 fairing on it (of some sort -- according to my buddy, who's bike it is), so it is likely that that part of the loom was for some sort of accessories. it may have been a hondaline fairing

    you guys are brilliant

    cheers !
