Any New Jersey riders?

Hi all, I am new to this board and I reside in Middlesex County. My bike should be repaired by the middle of May. I was hoping to hit Bear Mnt and the Poconos as often as I can this summer/fall.

 

Hey Dino. I'm in New Jersey - Morris County. There are a few others as well.

I'd definitely be interested in doing some good day rides. I haven't been to Bear Mountain yet, so would look forward to it.

What happened to your bike? What year?

 

Toms River here. We ride alot maybe not this w/e weather looks crappy. Postup an event and I'll do the same. TR has a cruise nite that welcomes bikes even have trophys for bikes in show. 1st one is 5-13 @6pm we're showing a 75 H1.

 

I'm down in Mercer County - Princeton Junction area. Count me in for a Bear Mountain run - I haven't been up that way yet either. If possible, Sundays are usually a little easier for me to shed the parenting duties.

 

Highland Park, NJ here. I'm always out riding on the weekends.

OSB - North Brunswick here. I usually ride with a couple of friends. One has a ST1300, then other a Dyna Wide Glide, so it's a bit of a diverse group. On occasion another friend with a Piaggio joins up to make it interesting

We usually ride out to Frenchtown, then up along the Delaware on the Penn. side. Up north of Easton, stopping at Hot Dog Johnny's
on Route 46, then home.

The ride on Rt 32 (same road you are talking about) south from Frenchtown down to New Hope is a nice ride too - some nice twisty bits. Also Rt. 579 from Phillipsburg down to Pennington is a nice little road too. Not much else in the area that I've found.

Anyone else have and recommendations?

 

Did someone say "Hot Dogs"? I am there! When you meet me you see that I have eaten many dogs. You know what they say, the only good dog is on a roll. :smile: Maybe we can meet for a Sunday ride if it ever stops F*&%ing raining.

 

I'm in Somerset, but usually ride to the west in Hunterdon county. You can check out my rides here: http://www.obinge.com/rides/. I like the road that goes from Rt. 22 up to the Long Valley Pub and Brewery ( good food and beer, alas I am usually on my bike so I can not partake of the beer...) Old Turnpike Road I think. Lots of fun roads to ride out there.

 

You guys want to do some riding this weekend? Sunday perhaps, weather permitting.

 

Right now the weather looks good and I'm interested but need to make sure the wife didn't sign me up for anything important. I'll keep you posted.

 

Wait, this Sunday is Mother's Day. I don't think I'll be able to ride. I probably should spend time with the wife or at the very least keep the kids out of her hair for the day. Sorry.

How about a Bear Mountain run next weekend? I too will be tied up for mothers day.

 

Hmm. Next weekend might be good. I got it penciled in but its still a little far in the future to commit just yet.

Unfortunately I can't ride - I am currently without a helmet. Had to send mine back to the company for a warranty issue - the side plate nuts stripped out of the helmet casing. The good news is that it will either be repaired or replaced for free. The bad news is that the weather is perfect for riding.

 

Not to get off the topic but I was wondering if anyone is going to be doing the Niagra Falls ride, i was looking for someone to ride with.
