so I've been lurking in the shadows for a little while since I bought my first bike, a 2003 superchicken. My first choice being the 6TH gen. vfr, I couldn't find one in my price range. So I bought the 03 vtr because it was in my range and had 12k and in great shape. Not to mention that it came with about $2500 in riding gear. I'm 6'2 300lbs, and finding a nice sportbike suited for my size and all the gear, I had to jump on the deal.

So anyway, I questioned my purchase after going through a few tanks and decided to get rid of the vtr and get what I originally wanted. Iended up trading my vtr for an 02 vfr with 30k on it. I haven't regret it yet. The bike is so much smoother and more comfortable for my size.

So my questions are about the cans. It has carbon micron oval shaped cans, and are a little quiet for my liking. Does anybody know how to remove the baffles? I looked inside and saw that there was allen head bolts inside so I assume that they are still in there. any info on removal would be great. Also, in the future, I'd like to get the factory hard side bags for it but I think I read somewhere that they wont mount up with aftermarket pipes, is this true? Can they be modified to fit? Thanks for any help in advance, and I hope I posted in the right forum.

    Mike

I think a lot of our members have had hard bags on with aftermerket pipes. I'll let someone who personally knows answer, but I am pretty sure I have seen it before.
