Hi Folks Just wanted to say hi, i just purchased a 2003 with 8000 miles for $5900 (a good deal i hope). Does anyone have any input on handle bar risers? Have just found Heli's online for the VFR for $250 and was wondering how good they are. thanks Richard
Hi fairlaner. Just wanted to take a moment to welcome you to the group. I hear Heli's are pretty good tho I have no personal experience with them myself. I also hear good that Gen Mar risers are good as well. They are liek spacers the that sit below the factory handle bar to raise it up, thus you are not replacing the whole bar, just raising it. Be sure to pin yourself to the member map so others can find you and we all lover to see pics of other VFR's, yours included. :smile:
that sounds like a pretty good price for your bike. I don't know how much the heli bars go for as they were on my bike when I got it. I like them, though. I sit pretty much like a standard bike but just a tad forward. it is pretty comfortable.
