Hi all, I've just bought myself a stock 1 owner 1999 vfr 800 fi and straightaway I put a delkevic shorty tri oval on it to release the beautiful exhaust note to go with the intoxicating gear noise lol.

Coming from a cbf1000 I find the bike much more flickable, power and torque about the same with a slightly less upright riding possie so will see how my old bones cope with it haha. Just the noises and feel of the bike are so much more involving on the vfr

Getting hot and humid down here on the Gold Coast now so summer rides are packed with stops for liquid refreshment anyway.

    Cheers Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

    Welcome to the MadHouse:welcome:

Its great to see the Aussie presence growing ever greater on the forum. It may be worth spending some time browsing through some of the threads on the 5th Gen section of the forum as you will quickly discover they are well liked but have been known to suffer electrical gremlins. Time for a quick heads up - the folks on the forum really do like pictures - so take some photos of your VFR and upload at least the best one here (click on the "Insert Image" icon and follow the prompts) otherwise it won't be long before you will get folks raggin on you.

    Take care

image.jpg Yes the rectifier and wiring was done by the previous owner, as were head bearings, grips, both tyres, chain and sprockets as well as a new seat cover just before I bought it. Old fella had it forever but replaced it with a brand new harley 1200 sportster WTF?

On the ipad I can't see the inset attachment button? I an tell you it's red and they do go faster as well as sound better!

    Cheers Ryan

And that is why Victoria is the best state, and we have the best Club reg system in the world, "Victoria great one day, better the next" :biggrin-new: And as for calling it downunder you are nearly up the top, half way to the equator, you really start talking about downunder when you mention Tassie
