Another Australian Addition

Hi everyoone,

My name is Roy, And i proudly ride a 1984 VF1000F.

My wife bought it for me after I crashed my CB900F (so sad, 20 feet from my own driveway, Damn you shoddy road works).

I have owned it for 4 years now, and love riding it.

She has just been re-registered after a break because of new family woes,.. I mean Joys, yes joys in the form of a lovely little girl, an expensive little girl.

I have the disappointment of finding out the the rear shock has started leaking.
Through the research of the internets I have found that most people suggest replacing the shock with an updated one.

I may have such a donor already but i'm trying to find out what the original shock stroke length is, could anyone point me in the right direction?
