One mountain road, too much rain, silt washed across the road, and off the side you go. Pretty simple really.

Hit the silt in mid-turn, front wheel washed out, and was on the way to a low-side; BUT, I saved it! By standing it up... Unfortunately, I was only halfway thru the corner... Tried to bend it back over, but ran outta pavement.

Missed the rocks, kept daughter and I from following the bike down the embankment, and the Shoei & Icon gear did it's job.

Luckily, daughter and I came out with only bruises and scrapes, except maybe my arm...

    Pics to follow:

Good job on the save from going down. Glad both of you are OK! Bike looks ok too, just some plastic work. This is one of the hazards of motorcycling. Stuff like this we all have to be prepared to come across. Then again are we ever prepared for the "shit happens" scenarios? You both came out of this basically unscathed. Good Job!

I'm glad the gear did its job and you two are OK. It does look as if the bike is
going to be OK as well. The best news is the two of you are walking as sad
as the RBW looks on its side.

Sorry to hear about your crash. Glad you guys are both okay. I crashed mine Friday so I know how you feel. I haven't seen mine since the accident, but I sure hope it in as good of shape as yours. According to the accident report I got this morning, mine slid 21ft on asphalt.

That sucks alot Echo, but at least yall walked with minor injuries. She looks very repairable which is amazing considering the bunch o rocks and trees she had to dodge!!

You and your daughter are lucky your alive. Be thankful, all the other chit can be replaced. I knew someone in NJ that was riding a gen 3 bike in a group of 5 that went off the road and died when they hit a tree with their helmeted head. Matter of fact the deceased guys mother let my friend ride the ghost bike, my buddy said it gave him the creeps. I had a similar accident in the winter in NJ where I hit ice in a left turn and me and the bike ended up sliding along the grass towards a cable that was supporting a telephone pole. Luckily just the bike ended up under the cable and not me. I had visions of being sliced in two. You have your health you got it all. Fix up that RWB Viffer and ride it. I do look at run off room sometimes when I am wicking up the throttle in a turn though. Cheers.

    Glad you guys are OK!

I managed to save a wreck this past Sat on my ride. Didn't look far enough into my turn and didn't get the bike tipped over enough and ran out of pavement myself. Managed to stand her up and come to a very wobbly stop in someone's gravel driveway.

Again, hope the bike buffs out (as said above).
