Hi I'm new to this forum, but have had Hondas since the sixties, starting with a 150Dream I've had a CL72, CB77, CB160, SL90, CB350, CB450, SL350, 750-4 that got tweaked, bored and sleeved to become 1009cc, Yoshimura everything, 500-4, 350-4 and a CX500. The coming of family stopped almost all my bike stuff, but I kept the CX500, and a '67 Velocette Thruxton (being restored since 1989).
Now the kids are grown, and I'm looking at the VF bikes. I had a friend with a VF500 and a VF1000, which I got to ride occasionally. Can't decide between an up to '97 VFR750, or a '98 and later. I'll be pleased to learn the ins and outs, because with the exception of the Velocette, the rest handled poorly, and the Velocette has 1967 brakes.
I live in the central western Colorado mountains, and look forward to riding there again after 15 years layoff, due to kid sports trips, ski racing and all that stuff.
    Scotty
