I'm not new to biking, but have less than 3 years on the sport/touring style. When I had just the VFR, I got very comfortable riding it and felt very confident in all riding situations. The learning curve was quite short, probably due to the ergos of the bike.

My problem started after I picked up the ST1100, last year. The VFR is stock, while the ST has Helibars, Corbin seat and lowered pegs. I find that after riding one of them for awhile, it seems like I forgot how to ride the other one. I know they are totally different setups and they don't corner the same way, but when I get on the other bike I still try to ride it the same way, until something reminds of that fact. It's nothing dangerous, so far, but I just feel uncomfortable until I get a few miles into it.

Is this normal, am i really getting old, or am I just a spaz?

It's a bit like your wife and your girlfriend. They're both great rides, just different. (J/K, and I hope my wife doesn't see this.)

    Different bikes have different feels!

My 87 and 2007 are COMPLETELY different! I jump off one and feel out of place on the other. As for the wife thing? I just count them as two girlfriends!!!!:cheersaf:
