Purchasing a new custom seat can be expensive and sometimes very disappointing. While I am generally pleased with my Sargent seat, I thought it was awfully firm and confining. Better than stock but not terrific.

Having read some very positive comments regarding the custom seat work that Mean City Cycles puts out, I decided to send them my stock seat to see if they could modify my seat into a more comfortable perch. Well I am happy to report that they did an excellent job in modifying my seat using 100% memory foam. Basically, I had them flatten out the seating surface so that it prevented any sliding forward toward the tank. Since I have a ton of snow, I can't actually do a test ride but I can tell by sitting on the bike that the change is very comfortable and I am able to move about the seat more easily. The best part is that it only cost $100.00 plus shipping. http://meancitycyles.com Give them a call after viewing their website. Nice folks and their work is guaranteed.

Awesome, sweet review and a great alternative to the big two seat companies. I also have someone local that re-does seats and my butt says an excellent job done too. I will have to get information on them and post it up too for folks more local to me.
