So, I'm getting tired of people thinking it's OK to get on my bike, or the wife's Spyder. In the past three weeks, I've had one person try to get on my bike (I was less than 15 feet away) and another person get on, then lean against the wife's bike. I understand that yes, it will run my battery down, but only when I'm not at home, or when I'm not in visual site of my bike. Well, sometimes that doesn't even matter. I was taught as a kid "it's not yours, don't touch" but yet who do I see try this, time after time, but adults. I don't get it. But, anyway, the last posts I saw were a couple of years old, and I was just curious, what alarm systems do you use, if any? Any recommendations? I'm looking for something that is pretty sensitive, that sends to a key fob or something if someone is screwing around with my bike. I'm not worried about it being taken (I think I just jinxed myself) but more so people screwing around with it. A guy that I know suggested about 4 lbs of C4 under the seat, but I don't think I'm quite ready for the James Bond car alarm - yet.

There's a Scorpion Alarm out there I was checking out that looks really good. It lets out a shrill scream if anyone touches it or "jars" it at all. And, it alerts the owner.

I don't have an alarm on mine but I DO have a GPS tracking system in case it is stolen... I was considering the Scorpion after my friend's bike was stolen but then realized there was no point. We parked next to each other... his was stolen, mine was left... no one wants a VFR when they can have a CBR or GSXR. Yes, I know VFRs can get stolen, but it's rare.

So anyway, check out the Scorpion... I think ther's even a Youtube video demo of it out there....

Scorpio alarm will do all of what you are looking for, and more. Have installed several on my bikes, work well, good construction, good customer support.
