You're gonna need to get creative but it can be done, just have the tech manual (with the updated electrical schematic) and plan everything out before tool meets bike...

PS: You are gonna get the remote disable and backup power, right?

    scorpio alarm

I was reading the scorpio instruction online it looks okay to me but I will double check it. I think I will add the remote ignition disable,Battery back-up and the connector kit. Their prices are not bad less than $25 each.

Scorpio is a very nice system and with planning, easy to install, getting all the extras is a good thing. I would caution identifying your system in case a bad guy somehow puts this thread and your bike together...

If you get the wiring harness for the VFR it's about a 30 minute install. I put one on mine about 18 months ago and with the harness it's basically a plug-and-play type of installation. Without it there are only a couple of wires to splice into as I recall and still shouldn't be too difficult.

With the exception of the turn signal taps, everything else is plug in via the model-specific harness you can buy from Scorpio...
