Has anyone changed the Tank Decal on the 6th generation? I have an 06 Pearl White VFR, and I would like to change the RED HONDA WINGS on the tank to YELLOW with BLACK outline, and I'll probably be adding some other VFR decals in the same color scheme. But the problem is the tank decal is clear coated over. I read in another thread that it is best not to try to remove it. So I guess my question would be does anyone know where I can get an overlay decal the same size as the one on the 06'?

tapeworks.com sells honda decal overlays. I am going to order. I saw a white '06 some where on vfrworld that had decals on the tank. looked great. was unable to verify were they came from. please let us know if anyone has any additional info.

I bought an '07 and wondered why the wings were yellow on the tank.:yuck: They should be red. The dealer told me he could overlay red ones if I wanted.

was unable to get an overlay from extreme decals. David at tapeworks has been trying to find or make an overlay for the vfr. He said he should be able to make something work. sounds like the vfr has a larger tank decal than most hondas. If anyone is interested in an overlay contact David at tapeworks.

Your talking about laying a sticker over a clear-coated factory decal? :twitch:

One thing to keep in mind is that, unless I am mistaken, the tank decals have a clearcoat over them.
