i've been trying to get my 83 VF750F running the best i can before tearing everything down for paint and polish. spent almost an hour tonight adjusting the valves on the rear cylinders and found there to be almost no valve clearance. hopefully the fronts are a bit better. this got me thinking though, i've built more chevy v-8's than i can count and worked on a lot of diesels in the army, but never a VTEC. would i be wrong in assuming my bike just has regular dual overhead cams and isnt a VTEC? i'm curious if i run into one how would i tell it uses the two cams differently as in the vtec? would it then have seperate cam timing chains?

The 83 does not have Vtec. Honda added vtec in 2002.
