I'm thinking about adding a gps to the bike and on the 97 vfr750 they have 2 spare fuses a 10 and 20 amp the gps has a cigerette lighter plug in for the car, is there a way to wire the bike to work for this, and is it possible for the bike to actually recharge the gps while riding. Any suggestions or options I'm all ears.

    GPS charging

quick answer is YES, you can wire the GPS for your use and it will charge while you are riding. On my 5th gen, I wired and fused it directly to the battery with an ON/OFF switch. I also used the cigarette plug supplied with the GPS and bought a female receptacle. You will need the cigarette plug to insure that you convert the 12v dc from the battery to a usable voltage for the GPS. I am not sure but I believe that the GPS uses a voltage less than the 12 volt supplied at the receptacle.

Just so that you know, those spare fuses are just that - SPARE FUSES.

    They are not fused circuits.
