    :mod:65 in a 55-ish.:mod:
popped in my wifes CRV by an on-coming CHP.
saw him & just didn't seem like I was going that fast.
'course, I just got off my bike......[ahem].......

Really not looking forward to this Award. It may undo what my traffic class saved me from on the last one. And then the dominos start to fall......tikkits / insurance / yada yada....

Any ideas / recommendations (other than slow down - my wife's idea  ). Lawyer-types? Experiances in SLO superior court?

    Arggggggggghhhh.................................:frown:

man this isnt your day huh? first the heli's and now a ticket... the best advice that i could give you would be to stay indoors for a little while, bad luck usually comes in three's. i would tread lightly and try to build up some good karma. anyways wish i was a lawyer and had good advice to give you to get your helis back and ticket tossed out, but... good luck bro.

    Tickets

I have never been convicted of a ticket since I met my traffic attorney....did google search and several in your area are listed. Not cheap but factor in loss of work ,court, point on record, and insurance....it is a deal.Good luck!

    Ya...kinda hit a rough patch.
ya think sliding my Gen5 on it's side into a car & getting a ticket would count as number 3? boy. I hope so. it was only about 6 weeks ago,
    that's within the window, right?
It counts, right? number 3. done. enough.

    C'mon..............

Ya. I thought about it, but my wife was there with me.
    the perfect outing.
"Hey Honey want to go out & watch me prove how stupid I am?"
"OK. That will give me something to talk about for the next 6 years...."

too bad, too. they probably would have shown the chase of a CRV on the comedy channel............

Exactly where were you? Radar? Laser? Was he sitting on driving? Was there any other cars in front or behind you? What was the posted speed limit? How fast did he say you were going? What speed did he put on the ticket? Were you going up hill or down hill? If he was stopped was it after a curve or over a hill?

nobody in front of me....maybe a car behind - don't recall
    posted 50 (?)...i'll check
    65
he put "speed approx 65" "max safe 55" "safe 50" i have not seen this version of the ticket B4.
    it was straight & flat.

I saw him approaching & thot I was "kinda about OK speed....
I'd been on my bike all morning & 65 felt pretty slow....

the guy was all business. ABSOLUTELY NO HUMOR.
Reminded me of RoboCop. the total stop was maybe 8 minutes....

Well if it was radar and a car was behind you then there is no way to tell if the radar picked out you or the car behind. You can also check to see the last time a traffic survey was done on that road and should be every 5 years. You can also do your own survey, radar gun needed to show that the majority of the cars traveling on that rode = x miles per hour. A lawyer could also help but as stated will cost $$ but the cost may be worth it in the end. If you plan on fighting it I will help with anything I can so you are prepared for your appearance too.

you must read a lot to know this much about traffic tickets.....:biggrin:

I am reluctant to let this go without a fight. I think it will bring my last infraction back into light & that would be 3 :)eek::mad::confused::frown:eek....good god!) in the last......um....not very long.

Thanks again - I'll probably be in touch .......

Out of people I know we are 3 for 3 using ticketassassin. That is 2 speeding tickets and a red light violation (on camera)

So I just read through the ticket assassin thing. Wow, California has a screwed up court system. Looks like a pain in the ass for everyone involved.

Here you can plead not guilty by mail or even phone. But if you want a trial you must appear in front of the court.

And where are cops getting payed $200+ to appear in court? Man I'm getting ripped off, I only get $60.00 if I'm not working. :)
