absolutely NOT going to atlantis!!!

its that time of the year again. time to pack up the wife and kid and head out for our family vacation. been looking around on the old interweb for where we wanna go and what we wanna do. kid wants disney and universal of course, and we were thinking a few days there and a few days in the bahamas so i can disappear and go catch big snook on the shelf. the atlantis resort was looking really cool, lots to do. the kid could swim with dolphins and him and the female would have plenty to do while i am out fishing WITHOUT THEM.

now, atlantis resort is stalking me! right now, on this page, i am having to look at a big assed banner for atlantis! at the bottom of everyone here's post is a big assed advertisement for atlantis. everytime i get on the internet... my facebook page, every forum or google search... its fucking ridiculous!!!

the end result is this... atlantis was at the top of the list, by far the front runner. but now, no way in hell will i go to atlantis!!! im worried im gonna start having nightmares about that place. they starting to remind me of the paper boy from that movie, Better Off Dead... "I WANT MY TWO DOLLARS"!!!

To get rid of the ads, you need to clear out your cookies in your web history, just had the same thing happen to me on my iPhone. If you have sites that use saved user/passwords, you will need to re-enter them with the "remember me" box checked.

Been using this one for years to delete cookies, history and a bunch of other stuff. It's free for the most part. The outfit has a couple of advanced versions that are one time buys. Ya get an ad once in awhile but usually with an update attached. There's a popup reminder that shows up every few days that tell how much junk can be cleaned.

I use Firefox and it has parameters to delete whatever automatically when you close it. Also when I'm on a site like New York Times they let you read like 10-15 articles then tell you to join/register if you want to read more. I manually delete cookies and history and get another 10-15 articles. Works like that on many sites.

 

I got up in the middle of the night and deleted a bunch of cookies. Oatmeal cinnamon rasin. Ssnt my blood glucose readings througb the roof so deleting cookies may not be the best way. Especially for a diabetic.

Any of the IPA draft drinkers ever notice how thick the bottoms of the glasses are or the tapered shape of what some taverns call pints are? In UK and Europe the glasses or mugs are calibrated and yep even the plastic cup at the Micky D's was a full pint. (metric)

I don't know what the big issue is. I simply use Firefox and the AdBlock addon. No ads at all! Easy peasy and I've been using it for years. There is an addon for Chrome too, as well as an AdBlock Browser for mobile devices, at least Android.

 

Chrome sees you in it's reflection..
