ABS Plastic Tank Cover?

I need new plastics for my 02 so I'm about to get one of the ebay fairing kits that come from hong kong. One seller has a tank cover with his kits, which is made in ABS plastic just like all the other pieces. My tank has a nice dent in it which I would like to get fixed and it would need to be color matched regardless. Does this tank cover go over the tank or does it replace the tank?

After doing more research, it seems as though these ebay fairing kits are coming from a company called auctmarts. http://www.auctmarts.com/temp/index.php Auctmarts is a sponsor on gixxer.com and everyone says they have very good customer service. I just sent an email so I should get a response back within a 24 hours.

 

Hi, I would be interested to know how it went. I am putting an 02 back together myself, and was considering trying out a set. I think the tank cover is just a cover, but if it hides a (not too dramatic) tank ding then that'll do for while. But what about color? I wish they would provide original colors. I suppose the repsol is at least fairly common.

 

I'll post pics either here or on vfrd with before and after. I was quoted at $350 to color match the gas tank to whatever fairing kit I get and fix a dent. I hope the tank covers fit well.
