Have you done your electrical recalls yet? Sounds kinds fishy, which usually means the gremlins are a comin.

Check your owner's manual. It does say something in there about the ABS light. Mine comes of for a several seconds on start up but goes out. The manual on the 06 says it is supposed to do this. Haven't notices anything about the high beams though

Yep, the ABS light should stay on when the ignition is powered on until 10kmh or 6mph is reached.

Skechy, you can also attempt to "retrieve" a trouble code from your ABS unit when ya have the light fault. The procedure is in the service manual that you may have or that can be downloaded. My guess is that your high beams are taking a toll on your electrical system and the ABS is sensing the low voltage.

Maybe throw a voltmeter on your battery when you get the ABS light and see what your voltage is at...

Skechy, what did you figure it out to be? Recall for electrical not done, low voltage, or going out naturally after 10 kph?

My wife just purchased a one year old VFR800AT and we noticed the ABS light on when she started the bike to go to work. (NOTE: I just called her as she would have arrived at work and the light went out pretty much right away when she drove down the road. I'm thinking the advice about 10 kmh seems accurate for our situation).
