Well, it's been about 5 months since I've owned a bike and that is just 5 months too long. My wife and I were planning to move across country and I sold my old bike cause I didn't feel like trying to take us with us. Move fell through and now I don't have a bike for the new riding season.

A VFR wasn't at the top of my list cause money is a little tight, however none of the bikes I looked at really thrilled me. However, up pops a 92 VFR for $2500 on craigslist in good condition and the VFR has moved to the top of my list.

I took a look at the bike yesterday and I'm planning on calling the owner back today to close out the deal.

Of course this site has helped me in researching the bike and deciding that a VFR is for me. I'm sure I'll have some good questions for all the experts here once the bike is in my hands and I've put a few of my own miles on it.

Good luck on pulling the trigger. You picked the cold five months to not have a bike... excellent -

Thanks for the well wishes and congratulations. I am glad that it was the cold months that I was without a bike. Now that the warm months are starting to return, the itch to ride has come with it.
