A proper introduction is in order

Well as some of you know from some of my previous posts my beloved 3rd Gen "Pearl" was wrecked by my brother in law in July. The bike was in fair shape overall but she had 42,000 miles on her and it was starting to show. Because of the age of the bike plus relative low retail price for the bike it was totaled by my insurance company due to the repair costs and I purchased her back from the insurance company for $500. The bike wasn't in terrible shape but would need a new left handlebar, all new plastic on the left hand side, new seat and cowl, new left mirror, new shifter, new windshield, etc. There was no damage to the frame or forks but the title is now branded a "salvage" since it was declared a total loss. I started looking for a replacement bike and decided to keep "Pearl" as a parts bike. I started stripping her down and within 2 weeks I lucked out on Craigslist finding another 93 in Pearl White just an hour away. When I arrived to check out the bike it was in great overall shape but had a few issues. First it would not start up. In addition to this it had a slight oil leak from the engine and the front left fork. I decided to roll the dice and buy it since it was still a good deal in my opinion and I figured that worste case scenario I could use parts from my old bike if needed. I paid $2000 for it and turns out that the carbs simply needed cleaning and the oil was leaking from right engine cover gasket. $300 bucks later I gots me a almost new ride with only 9900 miles on her. She came with a V&H Exhaust, HID Headlights, Carbon Fiber Hugger and Chain Guard, Steel brake lines, 2 seats, cowl. She runs like a champ and her name is LUCY!!

Got to love the White Gen 3s. If it wasn't for that tail section I say it was perfect. Good find.
