    Howdy,
After decades of inline scooters, I finally got my first V-4.
    An '84 VF 750 F with 8000 easy miles.
Within a week of purchasing that I drug home an '86 VFR 700 wreck.

Where can I find out if the Yosh system off the 700 will fit the 750?

Got the side cover, stock seat and an engine/cowl fairing with it. Scored a set of nice Euro rims too.

    Thanks, RJ

Nice bike. Please don't put that beat up ugly muffler on that bike. The stock exhaust may not have the sound you want, but it looks likes it's in great shape.

    KC-10 FE out...

    Ur right, stockers are mint.

Aren't those ComStar rims? Kind of on the rare side, I believe.

If they fit on the '84, I'd do that in a heartbeat.

    Nice bikes (both of them).

    Thanx,

I think that they are ComStars.

Only offered on the European models.
Found these on a German E-Pay site.

Quite sure the VFR exh. will not fit the VF. Nice score on the wheels! If you are interested in selling the aftermarket seat, i would be interested in taking it off your hands.

That seat is one of those, "don't get too excited while making the deal" sorta things.
I'll be keeping that. Actually comfy too.

The more I look at it, I'm inclined to put on the full fairing, Euro wheels and let it be.
Do some maintenance and ride it stock.
It'll be the quietest bike I own.

Thanks for asking, Ida done the same.:thumb:

I want that wreck!. Look at all of the goodies on there. Hey if you don't want that aftermarket pipe, I've got a ratter here that needs to be louder.
Welcome to the forum. I can tell that you already have the same disease that most of us suffer from. You have found your home......

    H*ll Yeah, We can talk.
I got more pics if you want.
Can also take more of any specific stuff you see.
Shoot me your E-mail and I'll send em' to ya.

Got any good crap to swap?
    79-83 F Bike stuff?

Was gonna put the white three spokes on but since I scored the anodized wheels the VFR's look less appealing.
And even if it fits, which seems unlikely, I've been talked out of installing the exhaust.

Jeezus, you bout gave me a heart attack.

    I forgot about the Turbo.

These rims are on their way here from Germany as we speak.

They were only used on the exported '83-'86 VF 750 F (RC-15.)

Now that I've re-assured myself I got the right stuff, I could use a beer. :drinker:

    Whew,
    RJ

I don't have any twin cam stuff at all. I just got burned on a pair of shocks on ebay that were listed as a 76 CB750 but are actually the 13.5" for twin cam. If you want them.....
I may have spoken too soon and with too much confusion. When my reading comprehension skills caught up I had already posted. Apparently, according to another poster, that pipe won't fit on my '85. Now if you had a pair of slip-ons....
I just want that whole wreck. Up here in Vermont, wrecks are not that clean looking. The life cycle for a bike goes like this: riding, crashing, parking, rotting, selling. That's what we end up with up here; rusted pieces of crap.
I agree with KC-10. keep that stock set up. It is beautiful. What museum did you steal that bike from again?

Are they after-market? I might be interested.

"The life cycle for a bike goes like this: riding, crashing, parking, rotting, selling. That's what we end up with up here; rusted pieces of crap."

Now that's funny. Sad, but funny.

No big deal on the exhaust. We all get itchy trigger fingers.
I'm surprised an '85 and '86 are different.

How do you find a gen 1 with that few miles on it, in that good a condition??

    great score!

The gold comstar wheels are stock for a VF750F, see my pics, this production class race bike is circa 83. all our NZ new ones had the gold comstars.

the second pic is from the honda brochure for the VF750F, shows gold com stars. maybe the 3 spoke is a US / interceptor spec thing?

    RT,
    Thanks
I just got lucky on that I guess.
I'm up in Minnesota USA and we are known for old low mileage scooters due to the short riding season.
Which, for the wimps can be only 3-4 months.
Both prior owners got distracted by life and the bike sat a lot more than usual.
Neither used it as hard as it was designed for either..... this one stayed upright.

I had been looking for a 1000 for a long time, and those are all fairly expensive or pretty mangled at this point.
The bike was listed locally and I dropped what I was doing at the time and made sure I had some cash in my pocket.
For a veteran, she's still a looker. Short of some grime, flaking fairing vent paint and two small tank scratches.

Now I got all winter to putz with it before I can ride it next spring.

BTW guys, this is really a great forum. Lots info.

    RJ
