G'day chaps. Signing up here to get some sage advice on my new ride. 2004 VFR800. Has a few miles on it now (80,000kms) but the engine sounds great with no ticks or chain slap so im confident it will do a few more without exploding. Altho now that ive said that, it will immediately catch fire and make me look like a fool.

    And heres my current fleet.

Ive got a few questions since im doing some maintenance on it for the first time. Will have a read around first and see what i can learn.

Previous rides include a CBX650, KDX200 and a Sachs Madass. This is quite easily my favourite so far although the CBX made a much nicer noise i reckon. That intoxicating sound of air cooled ticky tack and a super sloppy alternator chain was hard to beat. The booooBAAAA VTECJUSTKICKEDINYO of the VFR is nice in its own way too. Maybe i need to gut those pipes a little more.

Welcome aboard, saw a bike like yours just yesterday (VFR sightings are fairly rare round my way). Not too sure of your seasons, but your summer looks just like mine! :grumpy: Ride safe
