They left off Glenn Curtiss (measured mile, not 1/4 mile):
By 1902, Curtiss, with three employees, was manufacturing his own motorcycles under the trade name, "Hercules". In a measured-mile run at Ormond Beach, Florida, on Jan. 23, 1907, Curtiss's V8 powered motorcycle was officially clocked at 136.3 mph. On that day, and for years afterward, Glenn Curtiss carried the title, "Fastest Man on Earth".

That's a cool graph for sure. It's sad that when you match the 6th gen VFR up it falls somewhere in the mid 80s with respect to the performance of the big bikes in that period.

But it does look better and it pretty much does everything better than they did so what the hell. I've been living in the 80's for about three decades now anyway.

Yeah, it was neat to look at in a graph... Now where will that 300HP beast fit on there...?

Motorcycle performance for the typical rider was conquered long ago. Just add abs, tc, fi, and heated grips.

Well I have a 1965 Royal Enfield Interceptor and with that claimed speed of 120mph mine must be running on one cylinder and I ride mine quite often and if it would hit 75mph I would be impressed. Must have been one hell of a tricked up machine
