My '98 Honda VFR800 would not start after limited use over the last few years. I had changed the gas, and run it every few months or so in the winter. I brought it in to the local Honda shop and a guy today (Sunday, though he didn't seem to knowledgable) tells me that the paperwork indicates that they flushed the tank, etc. but that the injectors may be bad and need replacement. Tomorrow I'll call (head mechanic) again to get the details.

It seems odd that they would have to replace injectors only after ~11k miles (and it also sounds like it may be expensive - I think he mentioned about 3 hours labor and parts).

    Thoughts?

wow, 3 hours labor does sound pretty steep. If you do have bad injectors, you'll be the first I have seen on here in the last year. that doesn't mean it's not possible, just not soething we hear of a lot. Do you have another mechanic that could give you a second opinion? If so, I'd have them hold off before they run your costs up for 3 hours.
