On bike pics today, and found a guy who had cbr 954 forks, brakes, bars etc.. on his 98 viffer. The "look" he achieved was hot. From what I can tell it's just the handlebars that actually sit lower than stock. Is this mod a common upgrade on vfrs? Where do I start.

Mmmm sorta, more likely he has the RC51 fork legs as those are longer than the 954 but from what I've heard they do use the 54 upper triple clamp, looks like a great up grade that should have come on the bike in the first place if you ask me..

The swap isn't that hard to do. The hard part is getting all the parts that are compatible. I put a 954 front end on my '96 VFR and I felt that it looked harder than it really came out to be. I'm not too sure about the '98 VFRs but on the '94-97 VFRs the oil cooler either has to be relocated, or bent. As far as clip-ons go, you could probably get away with the 954 clip-ons. If you have any more questions, ask away, and I'll do my best to answer.
