I just purchased a '94 VFR and the previous owner is looking for his owner's manual. My question is: Is there anything specific for setting up the bike's suspension for a riders weight (ie SAG)? Anything else?
    Thanks in advance.

Specific? yes setting the SAG is a great place to start before you start messing around. Highly recommended. I'll take it you are dealing with stock suspension, on the front there's not a lot to do with out getting inside, but cranking down the pre load till you only see one ring left will helps tons, as well as getting the nifty little socket out of your tool bag that comes with the VFR that reaches in to be able set the rear shock, crank that all the way in then back of 1/2 a turn. Once done with that go find the nearest track and find a suspension tuner. Setting the sag takes at least 3 folks, one of em might as well be one that knows whats what. I know the know just with out writing a book, hard to but in simplicity. Theres also a lot on this subject on the good ole net. it's just not VFR related.
