Considering a red 1994 VFR 750 in swap for my Volvo wagon.
Bike has 41K on it. Bad news is the right side fairing has road rash.
What's the go-to place to find the correct color panel?

I scored a used one for $60 shipped on craigslist last month. It had one crack near the back mount hole, and had been re-sprayed. I would consider this to be an "out of the ordinary" price.

They go from $285-$335 new from any number of online sellers, check the S/H before you buy, though... Sometimes a great deal disappears once you check out. Be sure that you check your local dealership(s), too. This 4G plastic may seem pricey, but if your local dealer can get it for the same amount that a "discount" online seller is charging you, go with them.

New OE panels come pre-painted in the correct color. Part # 64211-MZ7-000ZC COWL, R. (UPPER) *R158P* (PURE RED)

That looks like it would be very easy to repair. That will be much cheaper and faster than trying to replace it.
