Twice now, I've had my headlights randomly turn off on my bike. Just recently, I noticed that if I push the start button in halfway, it triggers the lights to come on, and if I monkey with it they will eventually stay on... Has anybody ever heard of this before? Where would I start to look?

Have a look under "intermittent headlight" in the mechanics garage, it was being discussed a couple of days ago

Check fuse block, you know where it is right? Front right cowl, check that fuse for the headlights, could be loose. Mine heated up over the years and would not stay tight, the new wiring harness I installed made the bike like new, everything is brighter and cured it. I tried headlight relays but that was not the ticket. Keep us posted

The starter button cuts out the headlights so you have full cranking amps to the starter.

It's a common failure point. I used to be in the habit of giving mine a flick after cranking to make sure it was fully retracted.

Tinks, does the switch carry full power in the circuit or does it just switch a headlight relay, can it be bypassed
