93 750 rear head on a 91 750?

the previous owner either didn't tighten the plug enough or over tighened it and now the threads are stripped in my #1 (left rear) cylinder. I know they are the same generation. I'm looking for a better fix than a timesert or helicoil. for what i suspect would cost to do a helicoil i may as well replace the head.

so can i put a 93 750 head on the 91 750?

Yes you can and that is the way to go, a bummer but you will sleep better when done.

 

Ok this is the way I'm going then, found one on ebay for a reasonable price.

Now for installation. do i have to pull the engine or can the rear head be done in the bike

Sucks that the previous owner 1 screwed up a nice bike, 2 lied to me.

 

+1 90-93 all are identical. I see heads on ebay all the time, should be easy to find one

 

Not bad 50 bucks....
