Gday there mates. I recently had a set of helibars fitted to my 92'VFR 750. It is now much comfier to ride but I now have a problem with my throttle. If I am stationary and waiting to do a sharp turn to the right, or I am moving slowly and must turn the handle bars to turn tightly, I am unable to twist the throttle to increase revs. The bars are still approx. 1-1.5 inches from full hard lock when this problem occurs. If I apply revs then turn the bars the throttle will twist back to the idle revs position. Only happens when turning right. Turning left is completely normal. I took the bike to my local Honda dealer (good bunch of guys), but I was informed by their head mechanic that there was not enough freeplay in the original cable to properly fit with the new helibars. Was wondering if any else had ever had a similar problem or solution. Anyone known of somewhere that sells longer aftermarket cables. Thanks for your time guys and hope to hear from you soon.

    Cheers mates,
    Matt

You might get a throttle cable set from a 4th gen to give you the extra reach. 4th gen throttle cable connects to the #1 carb (left rear), which is a longer run than to the #2 carb (left front) used on the 3rd gen. If anybody has an extra pulley i still need one. cheers and beers...
