I bought this 929 shock(has top mounted reservoir) from Jamie Daugherty, and just got it friday, I've been trying for the most part of Sat. to install it on my "6Gen" (08).
I'd like someone that has put this on a "6Gen" just tell me if this is the right shock for a "6Gen".
I've been told that the only mod would be part of the plastic on the battery box.
The problem I'm having is there are little sub-frame type tubes in the way of the reservoir as well as the battery box. I've trimmed the batt-box but the sub-frame tubes are still in the way.
The only way it comes close to fitting is with the reservoir pointing forward.
    Any help out there?????

there is a bracket on the sub-frame for one of the brake lines that has to be cut off and moved to another spot on the sub frame

I know this is an old thread but it seems to be the only one that talks about the same issue I am having. I recently purchased a 929 shock from Jaime for my 2006 VFR. The reservoir is hitting on the bracket mentioned in this thread. The fact I don't see a lot of threads about it makes me think either I am putting it in wrong or at some point (2006?) that bracket was changed.

Does anyone have any additional input on this? If I do need to mod the brake line bracket does anyone have detailed specs on what needs to be done. I have a rough idea of what I think could work but I would hate to do all the work only to find the new setup hits on something else.

    Thanks for any help.

Does anybody know if the 929 shock is a direct bolt on for the 5th Gens (without modification)? I am about to get my suspension stuff from Jamie too :)

EDIT: Forget it...Jamie answered my questions :)

I am in communications with Jaime. If anyone has a good picture of an installed 929 shock on a 6th gen that would help greatly. Ideally it would show the reservoir.
