Lifelong rider, beginning with a (new) Whizzer motorbike (a while ago).
I have been on a Suzuki Bergman 400 scooter for the past 5-years.
Great machine around town. Cruise at 65-70 and run easily to 90+.
And, pack a weeks worth of anything in the "trunk".
But, not a machine for serious sport touring, and that's what I want for the next few years.

I don't want a new, state of the art, go fast, take it to the dealer when it doesn't work bike.
Been looking for a year and a half. About ready to give up, and settle for a 1985 Honda V65 Sabre, with the Sport fairing. Solid reliable machine, that will probably run forever.
Really wanted a mid-90's VFR, but couldn't find one that did not come with the caveat "dropped by previous owner".

Then 5-days ago the ad popped into Craigslist. Searched so often I could spot the new listings. 2-days later, I U-Hauled it from Cleveland to my garage in Cincinnati.

And I thought no one cared.
My "new" 1992 Honda VFR750F. Cobalt blue with the silver/purple decals, gray wheels and a rear seat cowl, with a "bum" pad. 16 K miles.
The bike might have looked this good when it left the show room floor, but it not look any better.
Deep clear paint, bright aluminum, prefect fit of the body pieces and not a mark on it. Race Tech suspension, both ends, carbs rebuilt and balanced.
I did enough testing on the charging system to feel confident that it did not come home with problems. New tires (don't ask).

My Eclipse tank bag will become a "magnetic" bag. There WILL be a tail rack for my eclipse tail pack.

Ahhh, Honda. LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL>

Sounds like it probably looks similar to how I hope my project will turn out.
