91 vfr crash mushrooms, and immobilizer

Hi guys and gals. i'm picking up my bike on saturday and have spent the last few days looking for crash mushrooms for the 91 vfr 750 but R & G only make them for 94-97 has anyone used these and do they fit the 91? if not can anyone tell me a good crash mushroom to fit the 91 vfr? also i have been looking up immobilizers but the company i want to buy from does not ship to Ireland. anyone in the UK willing to be a middle man and send it on to me? i'd pay for everything up front so no chance of anyone getting stuck with any bills

 

The body work on that gen 3 bike does a decent job of protecting the actual bike from damage. Don't ask me how I know this, but I do.

Can't you just get a pit-bull there and tie it up to your clip-on? Joking aside, I used to go into NYC before I even had a dedicated New York bike and I simply used to use a Krytonite NYC chain, chained to a solid objet, (big arse fence post) and used to use a U-shaped lock thru my upper tripple clamp going thru my skid lid...Never had a problem.

Bike thieves should be de-balled without anesthetic yah know...Loved Dublin btw, stayed at the Hotel Burlington during the fourth of July...Cheers

 

I heard we didn't celebrate the 4th of July very well here this year. I've an american house mate who said he found it very hard to have a good time as nobody was out. Glad you enjoyed it though and glad we were welcoming and courteous to you. I Have a big fuck off Oxford chain lock that i use and a front disk lock, but it's not going to deter too many of the scum bags here in Dublin, we have a lot. an immobilizer is an added precaution and gives me an added discount with my insurance. I picked the bike up on Saturday by the way and scared the shit out of myself, put 172 miles on it from picking it up on sat morning to locking it up saturday night, spent 50 quid on petrol in one day, SO MUCH FUN. Also still looking for crash mushroom ideas or names as it's cheaper to fit them than to try and find replacement fairings? Any ideas welcome. i will be posting pics soon i promise spent all my time to date on her couldn't bear to take myself off her to take pics ;o)
