8th gen rear wheel on a 6th gen

    I don't know of any 5 lug 6th gens, so no, the wheel wont fit unless you figure out a way to get an 8th gen hub in there as well...

    I was looking for a wrecked one so i can take its swing arm and wheel combo. I love that back whee and updated swing arm! Id also would like to steal the forks and front brakes too, basically ditch linked brakes period with no expensive lines to buy. From what i gather it wouldnt be too hard to swap alot of parts over as the frame is the same as the 6th gen.

    I know this topic has come up in another thread. If the 8th Gen hub or hub / swing arm combo bolts into a 6th Gen, could you use BST carbon fiber wheels for the VFR1200?

    Possibly, but most likely not. You'll need some measurements first, but I can 95% guarantee you that the wheel offset are vastly different between chain and shaft drive hubs.
