Hello! I have a problem with my charging system on my '88 vfr. I verified the stator on all 3 wires and i have 24 v normal and 68 v at 5000 rpm. The wires from the batery to te regulator ar verified, when i put a voltmeter on them it indicates the batery voltage. I put a regulator froma a '90 vfr with al the conectors and i have no voltage coming from the regulator. What should I do next to find the problem?

I know that the regulator is diferent, I'm not an expert but I think it should do the same job if I changed the conectors

you got the wires wrong, and some regulaters have a feedback wire and will not function if it is not present

Fur gob'ssake, pull off the red plug on the starter relay and check for melted, burned, or ratty-looking connections !!
