87 VFR700 Interceptor engine swap

Hi, new here, i'm acquiring a 87 VFR700 Interceptor F2 was wondering what engine will interchange, is a 750cc a direct swap? what year motors? any help is greately apreciated, the motor that's in it now was diagnosed by a shop a while back and they said it was locked up, thanks in advance, Mike

 

An 86 750 would be a bolt in not sure about any others. Trying to find one of those or another 700 is probably your best bet.

 

thanks for the quick response, hopefully i can find 1 in good condition as it seems they are getting hard to find.
