87 vfr700 fairing clips or bolts

    i am putting my 87 700 back together, and im putting fairings on and i ordered the bolts that were on the microfiche and for some reason they dont fit...it seems there there need to be some other form of clip, versus a bolt. can anyone point me in the right direction.
