'86 VFR700 head gasket replacement

    Is it possible to replace REAR head gasket while the engine is in the frame ??:distracted:

    There was a thread aboot this years back and the general consensus is that it could be done, and I believe the poster of said thread did it, but why would you? The pain of dealing with it in the frame would be enough to offset removal of the engine for me. Besides it is a good time to do a little cleaning. Just my two cents.

    I concur, especially on that bike. It almost falls out of that frame. Much rather have it literally between my legs on a milk crate. Plus you're gonna have the carbs out already.
