86 vf500f headlight shorts out when left turn signal is on

    on my 86 vf500f, when I use my left turn signal, the headlight goes out. right turn signal is just fine. I dont know if it is related but also when I switch on the highbeams, nothing happens. the highbeam light doesnt come on, and the headlight stays on the low beam. Any Ideas?
