Just bought a $700 treasure. Need to replace the forks. They are bent beyond repair, more than just tweaked. In order to broaden my search for relacements, what other models use this same 37mm front end? Early CBRs? Mid 80s Magna, Shadow, Nighthawk, Hawk GT?

    Thanks

I may have answered my own question.
YES. Early VFR750, and CBRs use the same 37/50/11 fork seals. Since I only need the sliders, I can looks for these. Any others?

Nope, the fork parts are different. You'll need to get VF500F (not C either) parts only. Pretty much your best bet is going to be finding a complete set of forks. eBay is your friend, as always.

No. Just because the outside diameter is the same does not mean the length, threads, etc, etc are the same. You need a 1984-86 VF500F part only.

Forks by Frank can make you a new one, but they aren't cheap. Since you got a decent deal on the bike it might be worth the investment.
