A bit of background. The rubber on my tanks petcock developed a pinhole a couple years ago so the fuel suction wasn't working. Solution at the time was to just trim it out. All was well and I could ride again.

Now, I'm getting ready to sell the bike and I find that if I don't shut the gas off at the petcock after riding that it will leak, like the entire main portion of the tank over a couple of days kinda leak. I found that out the hard way after going for a ride and stalling out...luckily there's reserve.

I looked through the threads on here and I'd normally think that it was a cracked fuel line but there's another symptom too. Idle is sitting around 3000 RPM, like the choke is on. That makes me think that maybe the float is stuck in one of the carbs and it's just taking all the gas it can get.

Any thoughts on this guys? I want to get this straightened out before I sell it to someone.

    Thanks

Leaky float needle/s........more likely than sticking float. Don't run the bike if oil is diluted with fuel !
