I need one to fit my 500, but I want to go to a 520 chain since I have a crud load of new 520 rear sprockets to fit the 600 hurrican rear wheel.

And Id like to get a nice 520 oring chain on it.

I called a couple local shops but they couldnt find anything in 520.

What other modern bikes use the same front sprocket.

    None.

You can always machine down a 530 sprocket. The only difference is the width. In this case it would go down to 0.250in (20/80ths) instead of 0.375in (30/80ths) thick.

why do you want to use a 520 chain to begin with?

Becouse it lighter, and there is no need for a 530 chain. My 07 gsxr750 has on a 520 conversion and Ive had not one problem.

So Lighter, less drag, Ill have a but load of gearing options.

Yes, it does make a noticeable difference. Gearing options? It sounds like you are having a lot of difficulty in that area!

What I meant by that is that I have like 6 or so different rear gears.

I plan on doing a few track days. So itll be nice to have some options.

Ill just have my dad machine one down.

^ yea but they did a custom job for my rear and worked with me to find the front so they may be willing to help him find a 500f front. The never listed a kit for my 86 but they did help me put one together.
