I just ordered an airtech chin spoiler for my 86 500 but have a few questions about the original ones. were they painted inside and out?? did they all come with the silver insulation pad glued into the inside?? if so does anyone know of a source for that insulation pad. I am trying to make the replacement look as original as possible. were the insulation pads glued in or self adhesive?? any help would be much appreciated

Check Amazon, I bought some for my 83 750 because I have a set of headers that are too close the fairing and burned a hole in it. Works like a champ .

    Thermo-Tec Aluminum adhesive heat shield.
