I am trying to resurrect a barn find and am having some carb problems. It sat for 6 years and got gummed up. I took the carbs off once and cleaned them up, but didn't drill out the pilot jet caps and clean the jets out. It acts like it is running lean off idle and won't idle when warm and the choke is off. Off idle, if I richen it up with the choke, it smoothes out. I think that drilling out the pilot jets and cleaning them out is my next step. Any advice would be appreciated.:unsure:

that's what you need to do.

unscrew and remove but don't loose spring ,washer or 0-ring. spray passage with carb cleaner and blow out with compressed air.
