I'm putting the tank back on the 86 but can't figure out the fuel tank hook ups. On the tank , looking up from below.. I have 3 hose connects. #1 is problaby a 1/4 -5/16 pipe and is for the main fuel line located left side rear. That one is simple . Then there is a second 1/4 - 5/16 pipe located upper mid way on the right side..what is this for? I can't find a second hose to hook it up to. Then there is a third smaller 3/16 pipe on the far upper left underside. Again what is this for and I can't find a hose it was hooked up to either. I think this was originally a California bike that had some of the emmissions plumbing removed.

    Your help is appreciated!!!

put some fuel in the tank......set petcock to reserve....connect the tube that fuel flows from to fuel pump inlet side....ignore other tubes.....center tube drains recessed area around fuel filler cap through a hose that ends at lower right just behind clutch cover

Awesome! Thanks much man. You keep having the answers. I'm assuming then the small tube is just a vent. Thanks

the tubes run behind the battery box to a small black box. i.e. catch can you can remove it at your own risk

    California?

You have a California tank. The left top tube is an tank vent .If you cap it off you must use a 48 state gas cap.
