i'm in need of mirrors for my 86 ceptor. i layed my bike down april 1st (no foolen). sence than i'v been fixen and replacing plastic. it's all repainted now, but i need some mirrors. i still got the org., but thay have crackes all thru them. i would like to keep the org. look, but i cant afford new ones from honda $86.00+-. is there any after market mirrors that will work. if any one has a good set of mirrors that are 86 or 87 i would like to deal.

    Just a couple of ideas

Honestly I would go with bar end mirrors, because you really can't see anything w/ the stock mirrors anyway. On my 86' I'm either looking @ my shoulders or the shoulder of the road. I am in the process of doing the same thing as you are doing w/ mine but I did'nt get the oppurtunity to lay mine down I aquired that way. I've been running that way for over a year but its time for a reconstruction. I was going to go w/ bar end mirrors & mount some PIAA lights in the existing mirror mount but I do alot of night riding. I've also checked into mounting some of those cute little carbon fiber aftermarket mirrors they sell for the tuner cars, it seems like they would work in a other than stock location but you would have to add support behind the fairing.

    Tbone.

YA, thats one thing that honda doding think about when designing the mirrors for the ceptor that year. i'v seen one or two other ceptors that have aftermarket mirrors, but i don't know where thay got them. mirrors on the bars sounds good , but i would like to keep a stock look to it. theres a bike show comming up next mounth and i would like to get it in the show if God willing. do you have any pic of your bike?
