I'm painting my 87 VFR r/w/b. I'm getting ready to paint the top portion of my gas tank and front fairing and need some measurements. Not knowing where the white stops and blue starts, I was wondering if someone who has one could take a couple of measurements for me so I don't screw this up?

I'd like to know the measurements from the bottom of the tank where the red mark is, to where white ends and blue paint starts. I really don't know to go about getting an accurate measurement on the front of the tank where the blue starts. If anyone can find a good starting point for my measurement there I'm open to that information as well.

Also, on the front fairing...if you could measure the points I have marked in my pic it would be helpful as well.

Crap, can't upload pics for some reason right now!

I will measure it for you when I get home tonight. The factory did a rough job of it and hid it with the decals , so exact start and stop of white and blue is not that important.

    TC...I appreciate it.

I think I'm going to be OK on the front fairing. The decal is pretty easy to use as a guide. The tank is the only thing that I'm probably going to need a measurement on.
